Signs of Spring

Spring is showing up on the island.

We are seeing small signs that spring is on it’s way after a cold winter with lots of snow. I think that has inspired these latest beads that are now in my Esty store IslandTop Glass Art.

Strawberry Fields Forever

A friend of mine ask me to go on a little road trip to a place called Strawberry Hill. Strawberry Hill is only about 45 minutes from where I live but I have never been there, to my surprise it’s the neatest place. Selling home grown strawberries, and has a great restaurant serving the best pancakes with strawberry syrup, strawberry fritters, strawberry milkshakes and of course strawberry shortcake. You would have thought I got enough strawberries while there but I came home with two gallons.

I just love their patriotic strawberry logo.

Spring is around the corner.

Every March we have scullers come and practice here at the lake and a long with the Yellow Bells we know that spring is right around the corner.

One of our assignments for FYV was to make a bead from an illustration in a child’s book. I got so much inspiration while at the library I came home with four books. Ellie can be found in my Etsy shop along with a lot of other funny critters and dogs.
