While Banana Bars are baking make frosting.

Browned Butter Frosting

1/3 cup butter

3 cups powdered sugar

1 ½ teaspoon vanilla

Heat butter in saucepan over medium heat until a light brown color; remove from heat. Stir in powder sugar, vanilla and milk. Mix until frosting is smooth and spreadable. I like to spread it over warm cake. An excellent with pumpkin or spice cake.

  2. Ooooh, and I just mashed 3 bananas and threw them in the freezer. Might have to take them out and try this for Jeff. Is 10×15 like a 1/2 sheet pan?

  3. Yes Deronda, I use one of those Pryex dishes.

This is really good with cream cheese icing also, but put the cream cheese icing on a cool cake.

    Maggie, welcome anytime. : )
